As the Moda show rapidly approaches, we are more and more certain that our colour choices for the new collection of hats and fascinators hits the spot when it comes to coordinating with the new outfits. The Boutique Collection is all about colour and every season our design team research deeply into the upcoming colour trends.
As you can see below, the Spring Summer 2011 collection is focused on pastel pinks and muted, nude tones with a touch of light turquoise as well as the more daring blues, reds and sage greens. We have also included a shot of beeswax oranges and dark browns for contrast.
The colour palate for Autumn Winter 2011 is much more daring and bold in its use of colour. Deep cassis, indigo and teal are sat alongside bright scarlet and raspberry tones. Similar to the Spring Summer beeswax colour (yet deeper and stronger), there are dashes of copper and mustard to add a gold tone. There is relief from these dark, moody tones however, with more dusky, pale pinks and touches of white.

The Boutique Collection by Richard Designs will be exhibiting at Moda UK at the NEC in Birmingham 20-22 February 2011 Hall 19 Stand G14.
The Boutique collection is innovative and quite different to previous collections. New fabrics add depth to the designs and handmade flowers of all manner of forms are truly ‘home-made chic’ in their presentation. With spotty overlays and vintage colour fabrics, the styles are reminiscent of the ‘cottage-style’ designs so popular at present. Large covered buttons and contrasting fabrics finish off the decoration to create vintage luxe fascinators, hats and pillbox hats. New silk mini-hats with layered fabric flowers are Mad Hatter-esque, while spotty discs with oversized bow details add that quirky element which is appearing in occasion wear this season. Hats are a twist on the original designs with new brims and crowns creating a new look to the collection. For the glamour-pusses we have chic, sequinned designs that are a glistening addition to the collection. Available in an array of designs and shapes we feel that this new direction for the Boutique Collection is really going to catch your attention, Strictly – eat your heart out!
