Richard Designs is the UK’s largest manufacturer of bridal accessories, the Boutique Collection by Richard Designs has been specifically crafted for independent fashion boutiques to cater for all of the wedding party.  A great deal of time is spent researching forthcoming colour trends to ensure that we have a perfect match for occasion and evening wear. Fascinators on combs and bands and beautiful hats are made in colours for both the current and following season. Because every element of our hats is created in our workrooms in the UK, we will be able to match our hats to almost any outfit you have chosen to wear. The Boutique Collection is not just fantastic for guests of a wedding, such as mother of the bride/groom, but also for those occasions when a touch of glamour and sophistication is required. All of our hats and fascinators are thoughtfully designed using the finest sinamay, feathers, silk fabrics and highest quality Swarovski crystals.

The Boutique Collection of hats and fascinators is available exclusively through high quality independent boutiques. Our beautiful English made head-wear is perfect for all occasions and exquisitely detailed for the high-end, luxury market.

We work hard to create designs that match current fashion trends in style, colour and texture. We know how important colour is to getting an outfit just right, and we succeed in this by creating our hats and fascinators entirely ourselves, including pressing the brim and the crown. This gives you the opportunity to send us a swatch of fabric that we can carefully match, or even by sending us your own fabric that we can then use in either the hat itself or the trim.

We use a unique method of mixing colours in hats, creating one-off hues, enabling us to create thousands of different colour combinations.

Sinamay is a natural product so has variations in colour, which is why we use tonal trims to best match outfits. It is also a very delicate product as it consists of woven strands of Abacá bark grown in the Philippines. We source all of our sinamay directly from the Philippines and can obtain any colour dyed to our specification – no other UK-based hat maker has this facility.
