Dress Your Dress: Richard Designs Grace
16 October 2017
This week we are accessorising one of our favourite gowns from the Richard Designs bridal collection – RDB1041 Grace. With the most delicate ivory lace, this gown’s soft fishtail shape is perfect for a sophisticated bridal look. The gown’s flared skirt is balanced with illusion lace straps creating a flattering V-neckline. The detailed beading on the neckline and waist of this gown adds a touch of sparkle that can be carried through to your accessories.
We have chosen two veils that could both work with this gown, creating different looks. For an elegant understated look choose veil C496A, which includes a delicately beaded comb that would complement the beading on the gown, and a smooth Italian tulle single tier veil that would float over the dress.
Alternatively, veil C473B in a dramatic, cathedral length with blusher would add sparkle to the train of the gown, with tiny shimmering silver crystals scattered all over.
So many styles of headpiece would work with this dress, as long as they incorporate sparkling silver detailing and clusters of tiny beads. Choose from tiaras, hair vines, combs, circlets or side tiaras to complete your look. We have chosen a traditional tiara headband TR2464A from our new collection, which incorporates sparkling silver crystals with organic vine shapes which are reflected in the beading and lace pattern of the gown.
Alternatively, choose a delicate comb to be worn either at the side of the hair, or accessorising an up-do at the back. Our favourite for this look is the TR2435A, especially if you choose this gown in the Champagne colour. This comb has a delicate mix of pretty sequined vines, metallic lace fronds and sparkling Swarovski crystal. The perfect combination of sparkle and vintage with delicate organic detailing.
We love accessorising gowns as you can create a truly unique look just with the veil, headpiece, belt or straps you add to a gown, meaning your bridal look can be a true reflection of you.
