BBEH Bestsellers September 2012

Friday, September 21st, 2012

We had another wonderful Harrogate show this month, many thanks to everyone who came to see the reveal of our new 1920s inspired collection of bridal accessories. A special thank you to all those who supported our Breakthrough Breast Cancer campaign at the show – more news to come over the next few weeks!

Today we share what you’ve all been waiting for – we reveal the bestselling new designs from the show. Buyers loved our new tiaras, veils and jewellery all with a hint of the Decadent Twenties!

Popular veils included the elegant C408C, a beautiful two tier wedding veil with embroidered edge, and Swarovski crystal drops.

Clearly influenced by the lines of Art Deco, the C406C is a really striking design.

Our twist on the classic satin ribbon edge veil, the C409A is updated with the addition of delicate lace appliqués and pearls. Easy to wear with lace gowns as the edge is catch-free and simple to match to the lace on your dress.

Buyers were looking for something a little different when it came to hair accessories, and our new collection of forehead jewellery was very popular, particularly this P622 style, with draping crystals and delicate feathers.

Launching the new collection: The Decadent Twenties, Darling!

Thursday, September 6th, 2012

Today all of our new samples left Richard Designs HQ and are on their way to Harrogate for the British Bridal Exhibition! We can’t wait to see you all on Sunday for the big reveal!

The Decadent Twenties, Darling!

The new collection is absolutely stunning, and we know it is right on trend for next season. Including influences from the 1920s era of frivolity and fashion, the collection is delicate and sparkling.

Tiaras are intricately detailed with an abundance of crystal and an aspect of silver. Traditional shaped tiaras come to the forefront and we have created several new styles including crystal, pearl, lace and even handmade flowers.

Side tiaras are new and exciting, with delicate Chantilly laces combined with Guipure lace for a unique look that is easy to coordinate with current and upcoming gowns.

Once again our designers have created never seen before veil shapes, such as a unique destination wedding veil shape, designed to be easy to wear on the beach.

Embroidery has been carefully used to mimic the shape and details of lace, which will work perfectly with the abundance of lace gowns available.

The new jewellery is beautiful and easy to wear. Long necklaces with Swarovski crystal can be layered to create a luxurious, flamboyant look so reminiscent of the 1920s.

New shoe clips and dress straps are available, including lace cap sleeves and a halter neck dress strap. This new lace appliqué shoe clip is sure to be a popular piece.

We recently held one of my favourite days of the year, Harrogate pre-show day, where we get to see the collection that will be released at BBEH next week!  Having had a sneak peak at some of the headdresses and belts I can say that you are all in for a treat.

With the Classics range we have several exciting developments with the introduction of a range of bridal belts at amazing prices and the inclusion of a lovely lace appliqué veil!
