Bridal Studio Details
Please read our guidelines carefully before booking your appointment.
SHORT ON TIME?
All of our gowns are available to take away on the day, and we hold stock of multiple sizes and colours for you to choose from. If we do not have your gown in stock we can rush an order through for you so you can take it away just four weeks later.
If you are on a short timescale and need help to get your dress or accessories quickly then contact us, we will be happy to help.
BOOKING AN APPOINTMENT
Please book an appointment to ensure there is someone available to help you. The easiest way to book is through our online booking system. Please let us know if you need to change or cancel an appointment, this can be done easily through your email appointment confirmation.
If you have seen a specific dress or item online that you’d like to view, please email us in advance so we can check to see if we have a sample in store.
If we are fully booked at the time you would like to come in, you can email us to ask to be added to our waiting list, and if we have a cancellation you will be invited for an appointment.
GETTING TO US
We have free parking directly outside our bridal studio, with wheelchair access throughout.
AT YOUR APPOINTMENT
When you arrive at the Bridal Studio you will be welcomed by one of our stylists who will be on hand to show you around and help you feel relaxed. You are free to try on any dress or accessory in our showroom and your consultant will be able to answer any questions or give advice. We advise you bring appropriate underwear or support garments in a nude or plain colour. A strapless bra is always a good choice. Having shoes with you similar in height to those you plan to wear to your event can be helpful when trying on your dress, but is not essential.
To keep to social distancing guidelines we ask that you only bring two guests with you to your appointment. If you really need to bring more than two guests, please email us in advance and we will do our best to accommodate larger groups. Children are not allowed in the showroom unless they are being measured for a garment.
STYLES IN STORE
All of our wedding and bridesmaid dresses are available to be ordered in sizes 4 – 32. In our bridal studio most dress samples are in sizes 8 - 20. Bridal sizing is not the same as high street sizes, so your consultant will advise you on which size to order.
Bridesmaid, prom and occasion wear dresses can be ordered in 50 different colours so you can find the perfect shade for your colour theme. Our bridal dresses that come in a nude, champagne or latte colour can also be made in ivory.
ORDERING A DRESS
When you are ready to place your order, we will take your bust, waist and hip measurement and choose the size from our size chart as close as possible to your measurements. Our dresses are made to order for you, but are not made to measure, so you should expect to have alterations after you have collected your dress.
Most dresses will need to be altered in some way; we suggest taking your dress to an independent seamstress as unfortunately we cannot offer an alterations service at our studio. You will need to book an appointment with them, and the alterations will be an additional cost which you will pay to them separately. You will need to allow the time for alterations to be made when first planning for your event. A good idea is to pre-book an appointment with your seamstress for when you expect your dress to have arrived.
OFF THE PEG
Our dresses can often be bought ‘off the peg’ and can be taken away the same day. This is ideal if you are short on time or prefer to have everything completed in one appointment. Please be aware that we do not have multiple sizes and colours of each style available. As these dresses will have been used as samples, their condition is not always perfect so we advise you inspect the items thoroughly before you commit to purchase. Dresses taken away on the day must be paid for in full and unfortunately we do not offer a returns policy on gowns purchased in our studio.
PRICES & PAYMENT
When placing an order, we ask that you pay a non-refundable deposit of 50%. The balance will be due when the dress has arrived in store. Our bridesmaid dresses start at £179 and our bridal gowns at £599. Informal wedding dresses are also available starting at £199. Please consider your budget prior to your appointment as this will help you and your stylist to find your perfect dress.
Dresses that aren’t needed in a rush take 10 weeks to be made so please allow enough time for your dress to arrive and to have any alterations made with your seamstress. Accessories are all made at our premises in Ely so these can be ready for you to collect as soon as you need. We do have rush options available for dress orders if you need something in a hurry, and we will always do our best to get you what you need in time. Once your dress has arrived, we will contact you to arrange a time to try it on and collect, and pay any balance due. Due to limitations on space, we will store your dress for a maximum of 4 weeks.
