We are an innovative bridal design and manufacturing house based in Ely, creating beautiful accessories for brides to wear on their wedding day. We are looking for creative people who love sewing, crafts and making beautiful designs come to life.
If you have a passion for design and craft, and enjoy working with your hands then we would love to hear from you. Qualifications are not essential as all of our staff are given full training. The main requirement is a dedication to work to the highest standard to create the most wonderful items for our customers.
Depending on your role you will be shown how to use hand finishing to create veils, tiaras, and other accessories. You will be working with fine and delicate fabrics, using different laces, pearls and crystals, starting with simple patterns and building up with practice. In addition, you can learn how to use our sewing, embroidery and laser cutting machines. You will be working alongside like-minded people as part of the team that make up our friendly, welcoming work atmosphere.
We work a 37.5 hour working week, Monday to Friday, finishing at 12:30 on Fridays. Our building is modern, climate-controlled and has plenty of free parking. Staff events, parties and fundraisers are run regularly throughout the year, making Richard Designs an exciting and enjoyable place to come to work. You will also have access to our lovely showroom where we offer generous staff discounts on bridal and occasion wear.
