We are delighted to present our Autumn 2024 Occasion Wear collection<\/a>. This collection has been designed to work in harmony with our existing Occasion Wear outfits, whilst bringing a fresh and contemporary feel to each design. If you’re attending a wedding this year, whether you’re the mother of the bride or groom or just a wedding guest, you’ll want to look your best. Here at Richard Designs we don’t believe in stuffy, boring, unflattering styles for the modern woman: you deserve to feel special on your special occasion. We also offer a wide range of colours to ensure you find the perfect shade, and if you’re not sure which colour suits you best, there are plenty of resources online<\/a> to help you understand colour theory.<\/p>\n

Comfort and fit are at the forefront of our occasion wear collection; our generous sizing chart covers sizes UK 4 – 32, with each dress cut specifically for the more mature figure to ensure comfort all day long. We design each piece to feel cool and comfortable, giving you just the right amount of coverage where you feel you need it most and accentuating the features you are most proud of. We love to add extra fabric at the top of the arms for those who prefer the extra coverage. The Impressionist Dress RDAD1228<\/a> is a gorgeous floaty dress with an optional self-tie sash to cinch in the waist. Summer Day Dress RDAD1246<\/a> is the perfect combination of jersey and chiffon with a floaty overlay that flows effortlessly off the shoulders; this style gives you coverage in the upper body but remains loose and flowing to keep you cool. The Papava Dress RDAD1239<\/a> is slightly shorter on the arms and opts for more coverage at the back with the cape-style overlay. New embroidery styles<\/h3>\n

We have developed stunning new embroidery designs to add colour and detail to your outfit. The Hazy Days Dress RDAD1233<\/a> is gorgeous with its sprinkle of delicate fine leaves in matching colour and ivory thread creating a beautiful sunburst effect throughout the design. The Portrait Dress RDAD1232<\/a> is embellished with carefully placed Hollyhock embroidery to help sculpt the figure. The tonal embroidery is photographed here in royal blue with turquoise accents to add depth and detail. Poppyfields Dress RDAD1235<\/a> features a stunning all-over wildflower design. This densely embroidered fabric gives the style such a refined look, matching the clean structure of the cap sleeves and neckline.<\/p>\n

Sheer Elegance<\/h3>\n

Sheer elements are such a great way to add a touch of elegance to a look, giving you the coverage you want whilst keeping you cool. The gorgeous Driftrose Dress RDAD1243<\/a> is so soft and feminine with its flowing chiffon skirt that skims your figure. The wide sleeves end at the elbow and there is a keyhole at the centre back to keep you cool on a hot summer’s day. Embellished with a trail of embroidered drift roses, this simple dress is absolutely stunning for any special occasion. Composition Dress RDAD1242<\/a> is the most stunning flowing chiffon dress for those looking for a long sleeve dress during the warmer months. The soft chiffon adds a delicate layer of coverage, and the V-neckline adds shape. Sequins are sprinkled across the cuffs and bodice to add a lovely touch of sparkle when they catch the light.
