How to Accessorise like Royalty

In light of the upcoming Royal Weddings planned for this year, we are looking back at some of our favourite previous Royal Wedding fashions through history. We show you our favourite Princess looks and how to get a look inspired by these Royal Weddings:
Queen Elizabeth, 1923

For her wedding to George VI in 1923, Queen Elizabeth wore an ivory chiffon moire gown, embroidered with silver thread and pearls. She accessorised with a lace embroidered juliet cap veil and a two row pearl necklace.
Get a similar veil style to Queen Elizabeth with our traditional juliet cap veil, C384A. This veil fastens in the hair with small metal combs at either side. For a more modern take, see our beaded juliet cap and veil, TR1690A.

Elizabeth II wore a long sleeved duchesse silk satin gown embellished with white seed pearls, crystal and silver thread. The veil was exquisite, a long embroidered silk tulle veil paired with a double row pearl necklace.

Princess Diana wore an ivory silk taffeta gown with a ruffled V-neckline and a 25 foot train edged with antique lace. The gown was designed by Elizabeth and David Emanuel, it was embellished with hand embroidery, sequins, and 10,000 pearls. Diana accessorised with a veil even longer than the train on her dress! The veil was 153 yards long. The tiara Diana wore was her Spencer family's heirloom tiara.

Princess Catherine wore a beautiful long sleeved lace and silk gown designed by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen. Kate accessorised with a fingertip length ivory silk lace edged veil alongside an upright tiara from The Queen's private collection. Complete with some bespoke diamond drop earrings.
